What does the CEO of a growing Content Management consulting firm do when you have to wear a lot of hats and he finds himself building the company web site? He blogs about it, of course. Unlike most of our customers that get the benefit of a big project staff dedicated to full time development of their Web Content and Social Business projects, AceCP has set aside a budget that is entirely too small for the real effort that I want put into the site. I envision a fully fleshed out Social Media driven knowledge base that showcases exactly who we are and what we do. The realization off that is a lot of real time man hours. Is it possible for someone with deep experience in these technologies to build that entire vision by himself (perhaps with a little help from time to time)? Well, let's find out together!
We start off by borrowing the web site from my former company, Kraai Consulting, and building a static site in basic JSP. This Blog starts off as simple HTML static pages for the sole purpose of getting the site up. All the ideas and features I have built into the business requirements for our site are going to materalize slowly, and provide a view into how the shoe maker's children finally get a pair of Sunday best!
The basic business need is for an Enterprise Content Management company with the brain power and knowledge to have for their Internet Advertising a Social Portal capable of educating the public, empowering our customers and employees, and selling our services.
